KION Group Opens Center of Excellence for Automated Solutions

The KION Group has inaugurated its KION Automation Center Antwerp, a specialized facility for automated solutions in the EMEA region. This new center in Belgium focuses on integrating automated trucks, software development, and customized customer solutions under one roof. The facility aims to boost efficiency and foster collaboration across the company's diverse teams.

Ching Pong Quek, Chief Technology Officer of KION Group, highlighted the center's role in responding to market needs and enhancing innovation in automation solutions. The new building, equipped for collaboration and testing, will streamline processes and improve customer service.

With approximately 400 employees from 40 nationalities, the 11,800-square meter facility supports various KION brands, including Dematic. Sustainable design features such as advanced insulation and solar panels aim for BREEAM and WELL Gold certifications, emphasizing the company's commitment to environmental and social governance.
