Knorr-Bremse, a leader in braking systems and other vehicle solutions, has completed the sale of its GT Emissions Systems subsidiary to Rcapital Partners. This divestment is part of Knorr-Bremse's strategy to optimize its portfolio with a focus on strategic alignment and performance enhancement. The Munich-based company has achieved nearly 60% of its portfolio streamlining efforts in advance.

GT Emissions Systems, located in Peterlee, UK, specializes in emission control systems for diesel engines in various vehicles. The company generates annual revenues of approximately EUR 70 million. This sale, a component of the BOOST 2026 program, marks the fourth successful investment sale by Knorr-Bremse in 12 months. Bernd Spies from Knorr-Bremse highlighted the firm's commitment to focusing on its core strengths and enhancing profitability. GT Emissions' products are crucial in aiding diesel engine manufacturers to comply with international emission standards.
