Kontron AG Streamlines Portfolio with Sale of TeleAlarm and New CFO Appointment
Linz/Vienna, 29.05.2024: Kontron Group has announced the sale of its subsidiary, TeleAlarm Europe GmbH, for EUR 39 million to PRIMEPULSE 3 Vorrats-GmbH. The transaction follows Kontron's strategic move to focus on core business activities, particularly in IoT solutions.
TeleAlarm, which offers solutions for seniors and people with disabilities, generated EUR 24 million in revenue in 2023. The sale aligns with Kontron's commitment to concentrate on sectors like smart trains, intelligent solar systems, eMobility, aerospace, and smart factories.
Additionally, Kontron CFO Clemens Billek will join the Executive Board of Katek SE as CFO from June 1, 2024. This move is expected to facilitate Katek SE's integration into the Kontron Group, where Kontron now holds an 87% stake.
