Kontron Extends Market Leadership in Railway Communication Systems

Kontron Transportation has capitalized on growth in the railway infrastructure sector, particularly in Austria, France, Ireland, the UK, the Czech Republic, Spain, and Slovenia. The company now serves customers in over 25 countries, mainly in Europe, providing end-to-end communication solutions for mission-critical and security-critical networks.

Richard Neussl, Managing Director of Kontron Transportation, attributes this success to the team’s commitment, customer focus, and innovation. The company is currently developing the Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) as the new 5G-based standard for railway communication in Europe. This allows Kontron to facilitate a seamless migration from the existing GSM-R system to FRMCS.
