Krones AG Reports Strong First Half of 2024
On July 31, 2024, Krones AG announced a significant increase in revenue and profitability for the first half of 2024. Demand for Krones’ products and services remained robust, with order intake rising by 2.9% to €1,310.2 million from April to June 2024.
Revenue growth accelerated in the second quarter, increasing by 16.7% compared to the first quarter's 4.0%. For the first six months, revenue rose by 10.1% to €2,556.1 million, aligning with the full-year guidance range. The EBITDA margin also improved, reaching 10.0% despite high material and labour costs.
Free cash flow before M&A activities saw a substantial increase, from a negative €131.2 million to a positive €127.0 million. Following this performance, Krones confirmed its 2024 guidance, expecting revenue growth of 9% to 13%, an EBITDA margin of 9.8% to 10.3%, and ROCE between 17% and 19%.
