KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA's Annual Shareholders’ Meeting gave a green light to a €1.00 dividend per share for the fiscal year 2023/2024, up from €0.90. This results in €33.0 million distributed to shareholders, aligning with its dividend policy of allocating 20-25% of net income. The meeting also saw the election of Dr. Hagen Duenbostel as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, following a succession plan after Philip Freiherr von dem Bussche's passing.
The fiscal year 2023/2024 was marked by KWS's strong performance and significant growth, notably in sugarbeet seeds. Net sales rose by 12% to €1.68 billion, with EBIT increasing by 55% to €302 million and an improved EBIT margin of 18%. Earnings per share jumped by 46%.
The company completed the sale of its corn and sorghum businesses in South America and China. The meeting allowed the introduction of future Executive Board members Dr. Jörn Andreas and Sebastian Talg.
