Leclanché SA Publishes Annual Report 2023 and Non-financial ESG Report

Leclanché SA, a leading industrial battery manufacturer, has released its Annual Report for 2023, alongside its Non-financial ESG Report. The audited financials match the preliminary results from April 30, 2024. The company saw a consolidated income of CHF 18.7 million in 2023, with customer revenue rising to CHF 17.2 million from CHF 7.8 million in the first half of the year.

The net loss decreased by 18% to CHF 70.5 million from CHF 85.6 million in 2022. A noteworthy financial move was converting CHF 66.7 million of debt into equity. Principal investors committed to convert CHF 85.7 million of debt and interest, pending shareholder approval. The balance sheet improved to CHF 106.1 million in 2023 from CHF 90.8 million in 2022.

Leclanché also emphasized its sustainability efforts, publishing its first non-financial report. The company met Article 9 compliance under the European SFDR, enhancing eligibility for ESG-focused investments. Strategic enhancements, such as new subsidiary formations and solar storage projects, were highlighted.
