Liberty Tax and DCBank Forge Strategic Partnership for Enhanced Financial Services

Liberty Tax and Digital Commerce Bank (DCBank), announced a partnership to offer enhanced financial solutions. Clients will gain access to premium tax services and receive refunds via digital or physical Mastercard cards and Interac e-Transfer. This move aims to eliminate cheque cashing fees and enhance accessibility.

The partnership promises a unique mobile app for Liberty Tax clients, providing functionalities like managing tax refunds and payments. Scott Terrell, CEO of Liberty Tax, expressed enthusiasm about the immediate loading of tax refunds to digital bank cards, enhancing service efficiency.

Jeffrey Smith, CEO of DCBank, emphasized Liberty Tax’s extensive industry experience as beneficial, with bank card and Interac e-Transfer services providing low-cost, year-round financial features, especially for clients without an existing Mastercard or bank account. The initiative will be operational for the 2025 tax preparation season in Liberty Tax's Canadian branches.
