McFarlane Applies for Exploration Permit on McMillan Mine and Mongowin Properties

McFarlane Lake Mining Limited has applied for an early exploration permit for its McMillan Mine and Mongowin properties. These sites are located 70 kilometers west of Sudbury, Ontario.

The McMillan Mine produced over 10,000 ounces of gold in the 1930s. Recent drillings conducted between 2000 and 2006 revealed high-grade historical gold intercepts. Notably, drill holes MM-05-13 and MM-05-04 intersected gold grades of 7.2 grams per tonne over 21.3 meters and 11.2 grams per tonne over 4.7 meters, respectively.

Adjacent to McMillan, the Mongowin property houses the past-producing Fox Lake Gold Mine, developed next to the Fox Lake Fault. The company aims to explore further gold resources around these fault systems.

McFarlane has planned a fall drilling program, which includes line cutting and diamond drilling to confirm historical high-grade gold intersections and potentially expand the mineralization.
