Medical Component Specialists Expand Operations Into Third Facility, Nitinol Innovation Center

Medical Component Specialists (MCS) announced a significant growth milestone with the acquisition of an 18,000-square-foot facility in New Boston, NH. This facility will be dedicated to the manufacturing of Nitinol products, enhancing the company's production capabilities. The new site will accommodate advanced automated processes including CNC Machining, Robotic Gun-drilling, and EDM.

To support the new facility, MCS has partnered with two ASTM F2063-certified Nitinol raw material suppliers. This collaboration ensures a steady supply of Nitinol, starting at 500 kg per month in Q1 2024 and increasing to 1,500 kg per month by Q4. The expanded supply chain will allow MCS to produce a variety of Nitinol products such as drills, core wires, spinal wires, staples, tubing, and instruments.

Further developments include expanding the facility to 50,000 square feet by the end of 2024 and receiving two custom machines in Q3. Founded in 2002, MCS employs over 100 staff across three facilities and holds an ISO 13485 certification, producing precision medical components for various applications.
