Melon Mobile Partners with Amdocs to Boost Mobile Services
Melon Mobile, a South African mobile provider, has selected Amdocs' cloud-based solution, connectX, to enhance its mobile offerings. This strategic move marks Melon Mobile’s shift from a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) to a mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE).
The collaboration aims to leverage connectX's multi-tenant platform to provide innovative mobile services with improved customer reach. Amdocs' technology, supported by AWS, offers Melon Mobile the necessary tools to adapt in the fast-evolving telecom market.
Calvin Collet, CEO of Melon Mobile, emphasized the potential for creating new revenue streams and strengthening the company's position in South Africa. Anthony Goonetilleke from Amdocs highlighted the platform's ability to support Melon Mobile’s growth, setting new standards for MVNE services.
