Mutares to Acquire fischer automotive systems GmbH & Co. KG
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has announced the acquisition of fischer automotive systems GmbH & Co. KG from fischerwerke GmbH & Co. KG, marking its seventh acquisition in 2024. The deal aims to bolster Mutares' Automotive & Mobility segment. Completion is expected by July 2024, pending regulatory approvals.
Fischer Automotive specializes in kinematic components and high-quality system solutions for vehicle interiors and exteriors, with products like air vents, storage compartments, and electrically operated tailgates. The company, headquartered in Horb am Neckar, Germany, operates internationally with facilities in the Czech Republic, Serbia, China, and the USA. It generated revenues of approximately EUR 166 million in 2023 and employs around 1,200 people.
Robin Laik, CEO of Mutares, emphasized that the acquisition will enhance Mutares' capacity in plastics processing and expand its global footprint, enabling the company to leverage growth potential and achieve strategic improvements in the automotive sector.
