NAGRAVISION and Blonder Tongue Secure Content Distribution for North American Hospitality Venues

NAGRAVISION, a content protection provider under the Kudelski Group, has partnered with Blonder Tongue Laboratories, Inc., a U.S.-based video transmission technology company. The collaboration introduces a bulk decryption solution to replace the outdated PowerKey CableCARDS in hospitality venues across the United States and Canada.

The partnership integrates NAGRAVISION's software-based conditional access technology with Blonder Tongue hardware, enabling secure content distribution for cable, IPTV, and OTT set-top boxes. This ensures different security levels for hospitality service providers using Blonder Tongue's NXG Video Gateway System with OTA key provisioning.

Bob Palle, President and CEO of Blonder Tongue, emphasized the goal of ensuring service continuity and protecting content investments. Tom Wirth, Senior VP at NAGRAVISION, highlighted their commitment to minimizing disruptions in the industry.

This two-way conditional access solution is part of NAGRAVISION's product range, which has been securing pay-TV and hospitality sectors for over three decades.
