NXT Announces Geothermal Survey for Alberta Geothermal Resource Recovery Inc.

CALGARY, AB / ACCESSWIRE / August 21, 2024 / NXT Energy Solutions Inc. ("NXT") has announced a geothermal survey agreement with Alberta Geothermal Resource Recovery Inc. (AGRRI). This survey will be conducted in Alberta, Canada.

The survey will take place based on mutual agreement, subject to aircraft availability and necessary permits. A standard survey typically lasts 2-3 months from data acquisition to report delivery. The integration process occurs post-report delivery.

Bruce G. Wilcox, CEO of NXT, noted that this survey represents a significant milestone for NXT's geothermal application of their SFD® technology, marking their first client survey. The results will be crucial for demonstrating SFD®'s commercial viability in geothermal exploration.

AGRRI aims to repurpose abandoned oil and gas wells into geothermal wells, aiding Canada's goal of NET ZERO GHG Emissions by 2050. Alberta's geothermal resources are primarily located between 1.5 to 5 kilometers below the surface.
