Oleg Firer Wins Judgement Against Grenada Government for Unlawful Recall

The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in the High Court of Grenada has ruled in favor of Oleg Firer in a case against the Government of Grenada. Firer challenged his removal as Ambassador of Grenada, citing lack of procedural fairness.

The court found that Firer's recall was conducted without presenting specific allegations or allowing him to defend his position, violating his rights. High Court Judge Raulston L.A. Glasgow emphasized the unlawful nature of this recall, highlighting the absence of the required procedural fairness.

As a result, the court awarded Firer $60,000 in damages. Firer has strongly condemned the actions of the Grenada Government and its Investment Migration Agency, formerly known as the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Committee.
