Product Creation Studio Partners with PatchClamp MedTech Inc. to Develop Revolutionary Dural Repair System

(PMI) to develop a novel dural repair graft placement system. This device addresses the challenges of durotomy-perforations in cranial and spinal surgeries, which can result in severe complications if not properly treated.

The PatchClamp device provides an immediate watertight seal for dura openings, preventing cerebrospinal fluid leakage, a major cause of surgical complications. Facilitated by PCS's development expertise, the device uses a unique graft-clasp for safe, immediate sealing in both minimally invasive and open procedures.

This disposable applicator allows surgeons to operate in constrained spaces and incorporates 3D-printed components and bioresorbable materials. The device has proven effective through in vitro and in vivo testing.
