Product Qualification Facility Successfully Commissioned

EcoGraf Limited has announced the successful commissioning of its Product Qualification Facility (PQF) in Western Australia. The first continuous run was achieved, marking a significant milestone. Over the past six months, the facility has advanced with reliability runs and initial fills completed.

Operational readiness for commercial campaigns has been established with all ancillary systems in place. Training and manuals have been completed. The first run utilized unpurified spherical graphite concentrate.

The PQF will now operate continuously. It aims to validate the EcoGraf HFfree™ purification process and provide samples for potential customers. The technical data will support engineering inputs and location studies with lithium-ion battery and electric vehicle manufacturers globally.

This follows a comparative benchmarking study confirming the EcoGraf HFfree™ process has economic and environmental advantages. The facility targets 99.99% carbon purity, reducing impurities to less than 100ppm.

The PQF program is partly funded by the Commonwealth Government's A$48.9 million Critical Minerals Development Program, with EcoGraf receiving a $2.9m grant.
