Rational AG Rejoins MDAX and Announces New Supervisory Board Members

Rational AG has announced its return to the MDAX index, effective on 24 June 2024. This follows a brief exclusion due to non-compliance with an independence criterion for the Chair of the Audit Committee as per the German Corporate Governance Code. Rational's CEO, Dr Peter Stadelmann, expressed enthusiasm about the company rejoining the MDAX.

This development follows significant changes in the Supervisory Board. Dr Hans Maerz, the former Chair, did not stand for re-election due to his long tenure. Clarissa Käfer, a newly elected member, now chairs the Audit Committee, ensuring adherence to governance standards. Dr Christoph Lintz and Mr Moritz Graser also join the board, alongside re-elected members including Walter Kurtz as Chair.

These changes signify a generational shift and increased diversity on the board, with a woman serving for the first time. Rational employs over 2,600 people, who are instrumental to its success, 87% of whom are proud to work at the company.
