Since its inception in 1996, Serengeti has grown to become the largest bottled beer brand in East Africa.

Obinna Anyalebechi, Managing Director at SBL, expressed enthusiasm about the brand's evolution, stating that the new offerings, including Serengeti Lager, Serengeti Lite, and Serengeti Lemon, emphasize the company's commitment to quality and consumer satisfaction. Rhona Namanya, Head of Beer at Serengeti, highlighted that the rebranding reaffirms their dedication to Tanzanian heritage while adapting to contemporary trends.

The announcement also introduced Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz as the new brand ambassador. Anyalebechi praised Diamond's charismatic influence and cultural connection, ideal traits for representing Serengeti's essence. Diamond himself expressed pride in joining a brand that mirrors the energy and spirit of Tanzania.
