Setting A New Security Benchmark: Kudelski IoT's Semiconductor Alliances Redefine IoT Provisioning

Kudelski IoT, a division of the Kudelski Group, announced a significant advancement in IoT security by enabling chip provisioning from Microchip, STMicroelectronics, Infineon, and Silicon Labs. This initiative aims to streamline and automate the provisioning of IoT products, simplifying inventory management and cloud service onboarding.

With the introduction of the keySTREAM IoT security product, Kudelski IoT offers a unified platform allowing device OEMs to manage keys and certificates across various chipsets easily. The service comes in two models: premier integration and collaborative partnerships. Premier integration embeds keySTREAM provisioning within the chipset itself, as seen in the Microchip ECC608 TrustMANAGER, which includes in-field provisioning services. Meanwhile, collaborative partnerships enable keySTREAM in-field provisioning as an optional service, enhancing product personalization in manufacturing or field operations.

This approach not only simplifies the security provisioning process but also helps OEMs comply with emerging security regulations and standards across multiple industries. By automating the provisioning process, Kudelski IoT eliminates manual, error-prone methods, enhancing individual device security and broader security chain integrity. Kudelski IoT's solutions are on display at the Embedded World trade show in Nuremberg, Germany, showcasing its secure provisioning solutions alongside Microchip’s TrustMANAGER platform.
