Shipping of Vergnet wind turbine nacelles to Barbados

Vergnet, a French renewable energy specialist, has announced the shipment of wind turbine nacelles from its Ormes site to the Claybury wind farm, located near Redland in Barbados. The 875 kW wind farm will strengthen the island’s electricity grid, in line with the island’s ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets. The GEV MP-C wind turbines, designed for tropical conditions, mark a new milestone for Vergnet, which is already involved in the Ashford Plantation project with Pavana Energy Ltd.

This extended partnership aims at a long-term development of wind power plants. Vergnet, through its expertise in engineering and maintenance, ensures an optimization of the operation. The shipment of the nacelles demonstrates Vergnet's know-how in sustainable electrification for island territories.
