Smile Digital Health Launches CDA Exchange+ to Unify Patient Data for Better Accessibility and Sharing

Smile Digital Health, a leading FHIR health data platform provider, has announced the launch of CDA Exchange+ with their quarterly release on May 23, 2024. This new solution is aimed at healthcare organizations looking to upgrade their data interoperability capabilities by transforming Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) documents into the modern FHIR format.

Based on customer feedback, Smile created CDA Exchange+ to handle various CDA document types and maximize the efficiency and reliability of the CDA to FHIR conversion process. This premium module includes a plug-and-play implementation guide, allowing customers to easily manage their C-CDA to FHIR transformations.

He highlighted that CDA Exchange+ enables better data accessibility and sharing, which are essential for providing quality care throughout the patient journey. Customers can expect enhanced interoperability, improved data management, and cost reductions from consolidating multiple data formats. Additionally, CDA Exchange+ unlocks Social Determinants of Health data via US Core 5.0.1 and USCDIv2, supporting population care management.
