Snowline Gold Corp Honored with Environmental Award for Second Year

Snowline Gold Corp, based in Vancouver, has been awarded the 2024 Robert E. Leckie Award for Excellence in Environmental Stewardship by the Government of Yukon. This marks the second consecutive year that Snowline receives this accolade for its eco-friendly exploration techniques in the Yukon Territory. The company's initiatives include active reclamation of disturbances and cleanups of historical mining sites, notably at the historical Plata mine.

CEO Scott Berdahl expressed gratitude towards the award committee and collaborators involved in the Plata site cleanup. The work included documentation and removal of abandoned equipment from past mining activities. The cleanup focused on reclaiming land previously affected by third-party mining efforts in the area.

Additional environmental measures by Snowline include revegetation, wildlife surveying, and water quality monitoring. The Leckie Award acknowledges responsible mining practices, and innovation, reaffirming Snowline's commitment to sustainable exploration.
