Strategic Partnership between Highlight Event and Entertainment and ACUNMEDYA
Sport1 Medien AG, a 100% subsidiary of Highlight Communications AG, in which Highlight Event and Entertainment AG holds 53.03% stake, has reached a cooperation agreement with the international media and entertainment company ACUNMEDYA, based in Istanbul. This agreement, announced on February 23, 2024, involves the sale of 50% of Sport1 GmbH to ACUNMEDYA for an amount of 30 million euros.
The acquiring entity, ACUNMEDYA, has committed to producing its already successful entertainment and sports programs internationally for Sport1. Despite this partial sale, Highlight Event and Entertainment AG will continue to fully consolidate Sport1 GmbH in its accounts.
This transaction, which promises to enhance the offering of Sport1 GmbH, is subject to approval by media and competition regulatory authorities.
