Südzucker AG Successfully Completes its Public Takeover Offer for CropEnergies AG
On February 28, 2024, Südzucker AG announced that it had successfully completed its public buyout offer linked to the delisting of CropEnergies AG. Thus, Südzucker's stake in CropEnergies increased to 94.2%. The listing of CropEnergies on the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange ends today, February 28, 2024.
On February 21, 2024, Südzucker reported the result of this public offering, indicating the submission of 9,191,764 CropEnergies shares, or approximately 10.5% of the outstanding shares. Combining this with non-offer acquisitions, Südzucker's share increased to around 94.2%.
Dr. Niels Pörksen, CEO of Südzucker, welcomed this operation, seeing it as a sign of confidence from CropEnergies shareholders in the Südzucker Group, which intends to use this new latitude to develop its growth strategy.
