Survey Highlights Key Reasons Rehab Therapists Leave Traditional Care Roles

Hoboken, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / July 9, 2024 / According to a recent report, rehab therapists are increasingly leaving traditional care roles due to a lack of professional growth opportunities and insufficient salaries and benefits. The survey, conducted by Prompt EMR, revealed that 85% of respondents cited limited growth as a reason for their departure, while 73% pointed to financial compensation.

Emotional burnout was another significant factor, affecting 68% of those surveyed. Other reasons included work-life balance issues (60%), a desire for new challenges (59%), and excessive workloads (55%). Additional concerns included documentation burden, healthcare policy impacts, workplace culture, and the physical demands of the job.

The findings are part of a survey in collaboration with The Clinician Transition, focusing on rehab therapists considering alternative career paths. The full report is available on the Prompt website.
