Tenth Avenue Petroleum Announces Murray Lake Operational Update & Increases Injection Capacity with New Horizontal Well

Tenth Avenue Petroleum Corp. (TSXV:TPC) has completed the conversion of a new horizontal injection well, 5-36, at the Murray Lake Mannville "A" Pool. The company has also restored previously curtailed production volumes.

Due to a water injection line failure, the company shut in a vertical disposal well in September 2023, curtailing about 15 barrels of oil per day. The new horizontal well, situated structurally lower in the Mannville zone, enhances the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) program by boosting injection capacity from 950 barrels per day to between 1,600 and 1,900 barrels per day.

Murray Lake Mannville "A" Pool has around 8.9 million barrels of original oil in place, with 9% recovered to date. This increase in water injection could lead to an additional recovery of 5-10% of the original oil in place and an increase of up to 40 barrels per day in oil production.
