The India Fund Inc. Announces Payment of Distribution

The India Fund, Inc. ("IFN") has announced the distribution payment to all shareholders of record as of May 30, 2024. The distribution amount is $0.4500 per share and was paid on July 5, 2024.

Shareholders received the distribution in newly issued shares unless they opted for cash. The shares were issued at the lower of the net asset value (NAV) or the market price per share, with a minimum NAV of 95% of the market price as of June 28, 2024. The reinvestment price was $17.67 per share.

The Fund's policy aims to provide stable distributions from current income, realized gains, and paid-in capital if necessary. The estimated source of the current distribution is entirely a return of capital. This indicates the Fund distributed more than its income and gains, potentially including some of the initial investment.

Shareholders were advised to inform their brokers or Computershare Investor Services by June 20, 2024, for cash distributions. Final tax reporting and income characterization will be provided after the fiscal year's end.
