The Platform Group AG Expands Forestry and Gardening Technology Business
The Platform Group AG has increased its stake in Simon-Profi-Technik GmbH and the Motorprofi.com platform to 100%. The agreement, signed in September 2024, is expected to close in December 2024. The purchase price remains undisclosed. Key partners of Motorprofi include Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Stiga, Makita, and Sabo.
Additionally, Angermeier Garten- und Forsttechnik, based in Pirmasens, was acquired by Simon-Profi-Technik GmbH. This acquisition, finalized in September 2024, enhances Motorprofi.com's offerings in branded products.
According to Tobias Musolf, Managing Director of Simon-Profi-Technik, the acquisitions aim to expand the company’s dealer and product portfolio. Dr. Dominik Benner, CEO of The Platform Group AG, emphasized their commitment to grow in the Freight Goods segment, highlighting significant expansion since 2022.
