TotalEnergies: 50 years in Saudi Arabia

TotalEnergies celebrates 50 years of operations in Saudi Arabia, marking its strategic collaboration with the country under the patronage of Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud. The company's presence is notable in the fossil and renewable energy sector, with a particular focus on the energy transition in line with the country's 'Green Initiative' and 'Vision 2030' objectives.

SATORP, co-owned with Aramco, is a key refining platform for TotalEnergies, capable of producing 460,000 barrels per day. It helped France in 2022 by supplying diesel during the Russian diesel embargo. TotalEnergies is also making progress on the Amiral complex, an $11 billion investment.

In the field of renewable energies, the company is developing several solar projects, including a 119 MW plant in Wadi Al Dawasir. TotalEnergies is also exploring the production of sustainable aviation fuels from used cooking oils in collaboration with Aramco.
