TotalEnergies has acknowledged recent developments involving allegations against certain executives of the Adani Group, specifically concerning Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL). The US authorities' indictment pertains to an alleged corruption scheme, yet it targets neither AGEL nor its affiliated companies.

Emphasizing its commitment to ethical business practices, TotalEnergies has stated its rejection of all forms of corruption. The company, holding a 19.75% share in AGEL and a 50% joint venture stake, is taking steps to safeguard its interests while maintaining its stance against the allegations.

Pending further clarification of the situation, TotalEnergies has decided to suspend new financial investments related to the Adani Group. The company clarified that all its investments complied with legal and internal governance standards.
