Travis Perkins Announces Leadership Transition

Travis Perkins plc has disclosed a significant change in its leadership structure effective from the end of May 2024. Jasmine Whitbread, the current Chair of the Board, has decided to resign from her position and as a Director of the company. She will officially step down on May 31, 2024, at which point Jez Maiden, currently the Senior Independent Director, will take over as interim Chair.

Jasmine Whitbread expressed her gratitude for having had the opportunity to lead Travis Perkins over the past three years. She acknowledged the challenging trading conditions but remained optimistic about the company's potential for rapid recovery. Jez Maiden will also temporarily chair the Nominations Committee, focusing on finding a new CEO and a permanent Chair. Additionally, Louise Hardy will join the Nominations Committee on an interim basis to aid in these efforts.
