Versa Technology Joins PoE Consortium to Enhance Industry Standardization

Versa Technology, a prominent North American supplier of Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions, announced its collaboration with the PoE Consortium. This partnership aims to standardize processes within the industry to boost the quality and effectiveness of PoE implementations.

The PoE Consortium, a collective of leading PoE companies, focuses on promoting awareness and education about PoE technology. According to Kim Johnson, the Consortium's president, the group is actively working on creating universal standards and terminology to simplify the deployment of PoE technologies across varied brands.

Joe Williams, Director of Distributed Sales at Versa Technologies, expressed enthusiasm about joining the Consortium. He emphasized the potential of improved implementation practices to significantly enhance performance as demands for bandwidth and power escalate.

With over 40 companies on board, the PoE Consortium includes leaders like Versatek and Planet Technology USA, alongside a broad spectrum of installation experts and academic entities.
