Warmed Omari joins OL on loan with option to buy until the end of the season

Lyon, August 30, 2024 — Olympique Lyonnais announces the arrival on loan of Stade Rennais central defender Warmed Omari until June 30, 2025. This loan, worth €500,000, is accompanied by a purchase option set at €10 million.

Originally from Mayotte, Warmed Omari joined the Stade Rennais training center in 2014 at the age of 14. French U19 champion with the Breton club, he played in the Youth League before gradually integrating the professional group. He started in Ligue 1 in the summer of 2021.

Author of 40 matches in his first season, Omari continued his rise in Ligue 1 and Europa League with Stade Rennais. In 3 seasons, he played 94 matches. He also discovered the French Espoirs team and was called up for the Comoros national selection.
