VOGO to Implement Video Refereeing for French Men’s Handball Championship
VOGO, a leading technology company in sports audio and video solutions, has been selected by the French National Handball League (LNH) to provide video refereeing services for the Liqui Moly Starligue. This collaboration is set to span the next four seasons starting from 2024/2025.
The implementation of VOGO's video refereeing system is aimed at improving match officiating and enhancing the overall experience for spectators and television audiences. The technology allows instant review of game situations by referees, which is expected to foster a better acceptance of refereeing decisions among players and coaches.
The system not only includes live video and sound signals for competition broadcasters but also provides a video platform for post-match analysis by coaches and an interactive application for live spectators.
This initiative by the LNH, in association with the National Refereeing Commission (CNA) of the French Handball Federation (FFHB), reflects an advanced approach similar to that used in the handball Champions League by integrating technology to connect more effectively with its audience and improve game integrity.
